'Ugh, it was just supposed to be a regular company outing. How the fuck did things turn out this way?' thought Vega as she felt her breasts being caressed by her boss. With Leo coming from a rich household, he had a standard to uphold and began challenging Victor for the first spot on their mock exams and other tests at the start of their second year. As such, a sense of competitiveness and rivalry started to develop between the two of them over who was academically better than the other, yet every time, Victor won each bout to Leo's frustration and dismay. With each loss Leo gained, the more he challenged Victor, refusing to back down. While to others this might seem inspiring, to Victor, it just seemed foolish and petty. This big of a fuss over a mere placement on a high school leaderboard just made Vic feel like Leo was simply being a sore loser. This feud of theirs lasted till the end of their senior year, where it ended in Victor's victory. On their high school graduation, the last thing Victor expected was a proclamation by Leo where he stated, "This is your win for now, Vic, but I swear on the Yoyce Family name that in the future, I will be a better man than you ever could be." Victor and Leo went to different colleges and fell out of contact with each other. Yet whereas Leo dropped out and gained success in his startup, Victor wasn't so lucky and failed to skyrocket his career to the same degree and ended up going bankrupt only months after starting.

With no other options remaining, Victor decided to ask Leo for a job as his last resort, and to his surprise, he agreed. Through this, he got to grow close to Leo, whom he grew to respect quite a bit after observing him in this environment. He could see how much he had grown and matured over the years. It seemed to him that he truly had changed and was no longer petty like he used to be. After a year of joining, Leo announced that they would be having a company trip outside of the city to celebrate their company's current success. To Victor's and the other employees' delight, the trip was all they could have ever asked for. From an all-expenses-paid trip to deluxe hotel suites, it seemed to Victor that Leo expended quite a lot of resources to be able to accommodate everyone's wants and needs. That night at dinner, Victor saw Leo drinking at the bar and decided to go up to him to thank him for the lovely stay and for the opportunity to experience this luxury. "Please, it was my pleasure, Vic. I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for you. Consider it my treat for all you have done," Leo stated, yet Victor could hear him mumble something at the end of his sentence. As Vic was going to ask what it was, he said, Leo suddenly asked him to join him for some drinks. Seeing as it was his boss, who was Victor, to refuse such an offer, yet as he was served his first drink, Victor started to feel drowsy, despite not being a lightweight when it comes to drinking. He then realized that his drink was spiked and looked up to see Leo smirking at him.

After a few hours, Victor woke up, tied to a chair in front of his boss. "Why would you do this to me?" asked Vic as Leo slowly approached him with what seemed to be a remote in his hand. "Why? DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR ACTIONS CAUSED ME BACK IN HIGHSCHOOL?! I WAS DEEMED A FAILURE BY MY HOUSEHOLD FOR BEING THE FIRST ONE IN OUR FAMILY TO NOT EARN THE TITLE OF HIGH SCHOOL VALEDICTORIAN! I WAS ALMOST DISOWNED AND FORCED TO START THIS COMPANY BECAUSE OF MY SHIT ASS STRICT FAMILY REFUSING TO ACCEPT ANYTHING BETTER THAN FIRST!" Leo exclaimed, clearly frustrated and hurt over his past. Victor, seeing this, tries to calm him down, yet Leo is too far gone. "If you had just relented and let me win our bouts, none of this would have happened," Leo said while sighing. While he seemed to have calmed down a bit, he didn't seem interested at all in backing down. He started to point the remote in front of Victor as he said, "Have you seen the news lately on this new magically engineered device? It's said to shift reality with the press of a button." Victor's mind went into a frenzy after hearing those words. He was terrified of what Leo was going to do with such power. "What are you going to do to me? How petty can you be to do this over something that transpired more than 5 years ago?" Victor yelled. "Petty? No, I'm merely following up on my declaration on how I will show you that I am a better man than you could ever be," said Leo as he clicked the button.
